Asher gained his license to drive a London Taxi in 1989 and since then has embarked on an interesting and varied career within the London Taxi Trade.

Asher built up a fleet of over 100 taxis in the 90s with the Help of his friend Lee Phillips.

He then got involved with enabling taxi drivers to accept credit cards for fares with Taxi Link.

Asher was also involved in the taxi advertising business putting door ads, and full liveries on taxis up until his surprise acquisition of taxi Media from the Clear Channel Group.

Asher then went on two sell Taxi Media to Veriphone, he stayed on working for them for some time and after leaving was tied into a anit-competing agreement which expired in September 2014.

Asher has now gone on to set up Sherbet London which he talks about in part 2 of this interview.
